Did you know that we ALL have some level of cognitive dissonance?
Breaking free of old beliefs that are no longer true for us, requires some level of understanding around this very topic.
Cognitive dissonance is a SYMPTOM you experience when your beliefs are challenged, and you become anxious, uncomfortable, embarrassed, or ashamed. It also goes along with normal defense mechanisms such as Denial and Rationalization—both ways our mind tried to protect us.
As new layers of truth about ourselves and the world are coming to the surface, expect this. Don’t be surprised when your beliefs are challenged, and simply be open and curious to try on new perspectives.
