Overview

Awaken deeper attunement in your Brainspotting work through the wisdom of the body.

This 8-hour specialty workshop is designed for Brainspotting practitioners and helping professionals who are ready to bring more embodiment, intuition, and presence into their clinical work.

Across a full training day together, you’ll learn how to blend beginner-level yoga therapy tools, gentle movement, and other embodiment practices with Brainspotting. We’ll explore how the Yothera Method weaves seamlessly into Brainspotting principles to support deeper attunement between practitioner and client.

Through live teaching, demonstrations, guided practices, and partner work, you’ll come away with practical skills and an embodied understanding of how to invite clients into their bodies in a way that:

  • Honors the Brainspotting frame
  • Strengthens attunement
  • Expands the relational and energetic space of the work

This workshop is experiential, relational, and highly practical, focused on skills you can bring into your sessions right away.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this 8-hour workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Describe how the Yothera Method complements and aligns with core Brainspotting principles.

2. Identify at least three beginner-level yoga therapy tools that can be integrated into Brainspotting sessions to support regulation and attunement.

3. Demonstrate how to invite clients into simple embodiment practices (such as breath, grounding, or gentle movement) while maintaining the Brainspotting frame.

4. Apply embodied tracking of body sensations to deepen processing and access the body’s wisdom during Brainspotting sessions.

5. Utilize at least two movement or posture-based practices to support resourcing, containment, or integration following Brainspotting processing.

6. Explain how cultivating the practitioner’s own embodied presence can strengthen relational attunement and clinical effectiveness with Brainspotting.

7. Integrate a basic yoga therapy–informed sequence into a Brainspotting session in a way that remains client-led and trauma-informed.

8. Identify ethical and scope-of-practice considerations when incorporating yoga therapy and embodiment practices into Brainspotting work.
